Dr. Chan Sook Wah

Dr. Chan Sook Wah is an accomplished educator and researcher with a Ph.D. in Food Technology from UPM (2014) and over a decade of experience in higher education. Currently a Senior Lecturer and Industrial Attachment Coordinator at Taylor's University, she imparts her expertise in courses such as Food Chemistry and Food Preservation, develops curriculum, and provides essential guidance to students. Dr. Chan has an impressive research portfolio, with over 20 international publications focusing on functional foods, agricultural by-product valorization, and encapsulation. Her dedication to advancing food science extends beyond academia through her strong industry partnerships and her engagement in securing research funding and publishing in esteemed journals. In addition, Dr. Chan's work has been recognized with numerous awards in food product development and teaching. Her previous experience includes roles at Monash and UCSI University, and her career has spanned responsibilities in both quality control and academic support, reflecting her deep commitment to both education and the food science industry.
