Adi bin Md Sikin

Associate Professor Dr Adi Md Sikin is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Applied Sciences,
Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Shah Alam. Before joining UiTM, he worked in the
food industries holding a position as Production and QA Executive. He graduated in PhD in
Food Science and Technology from Cornell University, USA. He was a Head of Program
for Food Science and Technology for a period of 2 years overseeing the academic program
of Food Science and Technology at undergraduate and postgraduate level. He also shared
his personal opinion on food science issues in various newspapers such as News Straits
Times and Sinar Harian. He is an adjunct professor at Padjadjaran University, a life member
of Malaysia Institute of Food Technology and Associate Member of Akademik Professor
Malaysia. He has published 23 scientific articles in food safety and processing, and is
currently supervising 4 PhD students and 2 MSc students. He cherish his academic life as a
platform to contribute to society. He is also passionate in cooking and painting.
