Dr. Revathy Sankaran is an accomplished academic with expertise in Bioprocess Technology, holding a Chemical and Environmental Engineering Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham Malaysia (2018). Currently an Assistant Professor and Head of Research at UCSI University, she is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), UK, with over seven years of research and six years of teaching experience. Her research focuses on Biotechnology and Bioprocessing, Chemical Engineering Applications, Sustainable Processing and Medical and Health Sciences. Revathy has achieved significant milestones, including the patent for Liquid Biphasic Flotation (LBF), publication of 30 high-impact journal articles, and securing prestigious grants such as the Malaysia National FRGS Grant (RM 180,500) and REIG Grant (RM 49,700). Her H-index of 18 (Web of Science) underscores her research impact. She has received multiple accolades for her contributions, including research excellence awards, and has been invited as a speaker at international conferences, such as the 9th International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing and Materials (ICAMM 2025) in Oxford, UK. She also serves as a reviewer for esteemed journals, including Bioengineered and Chemosphere, and actively leads postgraduate research portfolios.
